It's fixable! Go to your system setting on xbox and find display, once there find what your resolution is for your tv and it works! thumbs up so everyone can see!

@fredryckphocks try to unplug it a few times, I do that 4-5 times and it seems to work. mine only does that when I use it through the HDMI, weird.

I have the exact same vizio 22' and it does that too! my remote is even the same. make sure your hdmi is pushed in correctly, seems like a do that a few times it fixes it.
Wow I have the same problem. I tried hooking up my laptop to it with HDMI and after about 5 minutes or so the tv would freeze up and do the exact same thing yours is doing. Did you ever find a fix? I havent thought about it being a volume or menu related problem. I'm gonna have to see if that's the case with mine. Or possibly overheating?

@Mouse1990 Unfortunately there is no fix. The only thing you can do is live with it, or return it. Chances are that you've owned it past a return or warranty period and you just have to live with it. I have no problem when using it as a monitor, just when it's being used with my Xbox because audio comes in through the HDMI cable.

You fix it ?because I have the same problem

@HellzRhiino I wish. I still have the issue whenever I do something menu related. My only workaround is using computer speakers that have their own volume control. Then I just keep the tv at 75 volume.

@HellzRhiino (I had the problem mostly when changing volume) As for the menu, change inputs or unplug the HDMI before using the menu for the workaround.
