Trying out Netflix on my Xbox. I noticed that when I went to the menu on my Vizio TV it gets these weird scan lines. Is there any way to fix this? When I turn my TV off the bass and speakers give a popping sound. The tv also blinks a red light and turns off after 5 seconds. When I turn it back on the Xbox says HDCP link connected. This happens on games too.

  • Wow I have the same problem. I tried hooking up my laptop to it with HDMI and after about 5 minutes or so the tv would freeze up and do the exact same thing yours is doing. Did you ever find a fix? I havent thought about it being a volume or menu related problem. I'm gonna have to see if that's the case with mine. Or possibly overheating?

  • @Mouse1990 Unfortunately there is no fix. The only thing you can do is live with it, or return it. Chances are that you've owned it past a return or warranty period and you just have to live with it. I have no problem when using it as a monitor, just when it's being used with my Xbox because audio comes in through the HDMI cable.

  • You fix it ?because I have the same problem

  • @HellzRhiino I wish. I still have the issue whenever I do something menu related. My only workaround is using computer speakers that have their own volume control. Then I just keep the tv at 75 volume.

  • @HellzRhiino (I had the problem mostly when changing volume) As for the menu, change inputs or unplug the HDMI before using the menu for the workaround.

  • looks like ur tv has the rrod
