In this video we taste 2006 Gouges, Nuits St Georges, Clos des Porrets Rouge, 1er Cru.
"Deep ruby core that was surprisingly dark for Pinot. On the nose I detect notes of tobacco, floral fruit, and dusty dirt. This wine has lots of density, structure and high acid. The "chewy" red-blue fruits include black cherry and plum. The finish is powerful, dominated by substantial ripe tannins. An intense, brooding wine that will benefit from several years of bottle age to soften. I'm curious to see how this wine develops over the next five years. A great candidate for investment." - Laura Conway, Content Editor at Vinfolio
