Nick's POV

We all plonked down onto sofa's so we could inform her of everything she'd missed, while being comatosed.

"I proposed To Hayley." Kevin admitted.
"Ohh, I'm so happy for you guys." she smiled.
"Twice." he added.
"Ohh." she said, turning her face in disgust. "I'm guessing it didn't go well?" she asked, knowing the answer.
"I'm not ready." Hayley defended. "You were in a coma, I couldn't get married!" she insisted.
"Thanks for thinking of me Hayls. But seriously, why would you turn Kevin down? Have you looked at him recently." she snickered.

Joe cleared his throat and Kevin blushed a light pink.

"Of course I've looked at him Carson." Hayley giggled. "I'm only 19, let me have fun while I can." she laughed.
"Moving on!" Kevin yelled, before Carson could embarrass him further.
"Dad wants to take me back to Georgia." Riley sighed.
"Ohh cool. To like visit family or something? Wait! You don't have a Dad, do you?" she asked, forgetting the details of the Stevens family tree.
"We left him when we were young, moved to California. Now he's back in my life, wanting to take me back to Georgia and away from you guys." she explained.
"Riley! You can't go. I just got you back."
"I don't want to go." she cried. "I'd be lost without you guys.
"We won't let him take you Riles. He doesn't deserve you." Kevin stated.
"Aww. How sweet Kev." Hayley commented, kissing his lips quickly, which soon turned into, not so quickly.
"GUYS!" Carson yelled. "I deffinetly didn't miss that!" she joked.

Carson's POV

"I have a question." I stated. "Jason saved me, how can you guys hate him so much. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be here."
"Jason tried to rape you Carson." Joe said, through gritted teeth. "That's enough to kill him."
Just then I realised how much Joe cared for me. I squeezed his hand and smiled reassuringly. If my friends didn't trust Jason, neither did I.
"So what now?" I asked.
"What do you mean?" Riley questioned.
"If I remember correctly, today is November 3rd, which means somebody turns the big two one in a few days." I giggled.
"Carson! You rememberd." Kevin smiled, wrapping an arm around my shoulder, in a brotherly way.
"Lets celebrate!" I cheered.

November 5th!

Kevin's POV

"Guys, you shouldn't have." I crooned.
"You deserve it." Hayley said, kissing my lips gently.

I'd been thinking things over and I was 21 today. Hayley turned 20 in a couple weeks, and I'd always wanted to settle down early, just like my parents. I knew I'd found the perfect girl and I had a plan to make her mine forever. She just had to accept my proposal.

"Nick, get the lights." Riley instructed.

A cake was carried into the kitchen by Joe, candles flickering.

"Is he really the best person to be carrying fire?" I asked, jokingly.
"Hey! I've never dropped one of these before, unlike somebody I know." he chuckled, bringing back memories of my parents anniversary, causing everyone to laugh. The cake - which was guitar shaped - was placed infront of me, with 5 glowing candles.
"Where are the others?" I asked.
"We didn't trust Joe with that much fire." Nick explained. "He's not called DJ Danger for nothing."

After feasting on cake we all settled down to watch a movie of my choice - Romeo and Juliet.

"Ok Kev, I know it's your birthday, but do we have to watch this?" Joe complained.
"My birthday, my choice." I stated.
"Weird, this is Hayley's favourite movie." Riley paused, considering the info. "Hayls, did you pick this movie?"
"Maybe." she muffled into my chest.
"We're out!" Joe declared, as everybody left the room.
"Alone at last." I chuckled, wrapping my arm around Hayley, as she rested her head comfortably against my chest.
"This is what life is about." she sighed.

We laid together enjoying the movie until Hayley broke the silence.

"Kev, did I hurt your feelings the other day?" she whispered.
"Yeah." I admitted. "Yeah, you did."

She shuffled in her place as the silence enveloped us once more. After five minutes she began tracing the patterns on my belt and I realised she was upset.

"Do you want to talk about it?" I asked, rubbing her shoulders. She turned towards me and her eyes were damp.
"I didn't want to hurt you." she sobbed.
"I know Hayley." I soothed, turning her to face me. "I know you'd never hurt me intentionally."
"Everything was just so screwed up. Carson was on her death bed, my sister was being dragged away from me. I just didn't want to add another posibility of something going wrong." she explained.
"I'm sorry if I pressured you babe. I should have been here and instead I took it as a personal attack. Rejection isn't nice, but neither is a suckish boyfriend." I chuckled, kissing her forehead.
"Forgive me?" she asked.
"Always." I stated, kissing her lips.

Ahhh, back to school tomorrow. This chapter is dedicated to Emily! Guys suck, it's a known fact!
