@Daelyah water makes since as a weakness. water is viewed as the element of life and vampire ar e aproduct of a twisted unlife so it bunrs like acid. of course if you like rahab you can shake off that weakness but then vampires only trade one weakness for another ie trade water then sunlight will burn even more as if you were a fledgeling
@Daelyah i agree but there are some good variations of the vampire mythos still around. and you mentioned "old video games" you the speak of the legacy of kain series yes?
@ChristinaDarkRose I find some annoyance in it, as well; but it's mostly in how the most commonly shown versions of vampires seem pathetic and overly used, today.
I'm the same way, but I'm not interested in a lot of the so-called "vampires" you see in the media today.
I enjoy vampires from various ancient folklore, and even vampires from- yes, admittedly- an old video game series, and maybe a few films, here and there.
Many people may not enjoy vampires as much, but I'm happy to know that there's at least one decent band out there that shares my love of vampires.
wonderful song

@kmfdm5 Raziel got lucky there with the soul-eating, then; though of course he needs to constantly feed on souls to remain in the material realm.
Still, yes, it does make a good bit of sense, when one thinks about it. :)

@kmfdm5 Exactly. :)
Admittedly, the vampires shown in that game are some of my favorites;
even if their biggest weakness is water.
Still, the fact that the vamps in LoK didn't seem too clichéed to me played a significant part in my die-hard admiration of vampires.

@Daelyah Look,I don't have such a big problem with classic vampires,but I a really annoyed by how popular they are now.

@ChristinaDarkRose I find that to be a good thing, actually.
