On today's episode of Ask Mahalo, we explain how to clean that
(probably) expensive digital SLR! It takes a little bit of patience,
but your pictures will thank you.

  • This is ridiculous. NEVER! EVER! EVERRRR! Lift the mirror with your finger like that! EVER! You'll completely fuck it up if you do it like that enough. Canon and the other companies didn't put in the "Manual Sensor Clean" mode so some dumb ass can go poking around in the body and around the sensor.

Also, take the brush off the blower! If you don't, you're blowing all those little bits of crap back onto what you're trying to clean.

The lens she cleaned was all hazy and smeared afterwards! ugh!

  • how the hell can you say "check the manual for sensor cleaning mode" and then proceed to flip the mirror up using your FINGER?!

This is a horrible tutorial for that reason alone.

  • @daddlepops Not a problem. :) Glad I was able to help.

  • @RB5566 Thanks for that!!!! I was just about to lift the mirror then I saw your comment. You saved my Camera!!! This video is fucking messed up.

  • Seriously seriously misinforming video.

  • Ignore this nonsense video.

Never lift the mirror by hand, read the handbook, then use the sensor cleaning mode. Never put a cheap brush/ blower like that anywhere near your open camera. Use a Giotto rocket brush. Use an Artic Butterfly or if the sensor has got really dirty use a Sensor Swab Type 2 w / Eclipse Cleaner for a K10D.Check the Eclipse web site for the recommended swab size for your camera.

  • bad video,hot girl

    terrible mix LOL

  • OMG, it is said before, but indeed; don;t use your finger and don't use the dusty brush thingie to clean it, it could make it only worse.

  • @spcmn77 Depends on what type of dot it is. Also, if you're talking about one of those compact digital cameras, I wouldn't risk it. They're not meant to be taken apart so you could very well damage it if you do.

If it's a shadow-looking, out of focus dot, then it's a foreign matter particle. If it looks like a tiny little light in your pictures, then it's a stuck pixel, and there's really no way to fix that other than through image touch up. Hope this helps!

  • Kinda sucky lighting for people talking about high-end cameras huh?...

  • shes fuckable so she can say wahtever the fuck she wants you dipshits!

  • Veronica is retarded!
