I was in the foster care system for a good portion of my childhood. I moved from place to place in what seemed like no time at all. I spent a good amount of time in the hospital as well because once I got to be 16 it became very difficult to place me in foster homes because teenagers are harder to deal with. In all of that displacement I learned that home isn't always tangible. It's the people who love you and it is a place inside yourself. Just wanted to share. Much love Meghan.
I moved many times when I was a kid. Changed houses every year or so between the ages of 10 and 19. Spent 3 and a half years living in Italy. I've yet to move off on my own far away from family, but I've definitely had some experiences and learned a lot about the world by living in different areas of it.
I moved to a different country and culture when I was 18 and for the 1st 3 months I cried and hated it but I would it again in a heart beat!!! It was the best experience of my life ever!! I think everyone should move away from comfort and home at least once in life to truly experience LIFE. It's sooo amazing! <3
I've never moved in my entire life. Literally not once. This year (most likely) will mark the first time I'll be moving. So... yeah. I'm scared, but I'm excited. I know it's gonna be hard in a lot of ways.... but I'm going to do my best to make the most of it. Even if I'm gonna miss my childhood home.
I love where i am from (Pennsylvania), but when we take vacations to Virginia Beach, I get the feeling like I am meant to be there for the rest of my life. I cant wait until the day comes when I make the move down there.
I married someone in the Army and have moved 3 times in the last five years just because of that. If there's anything that I've learned it's that every place is an adventure, if you open yourself up to the experience. I can't count how many other Army wives I've met that hate where they are because they can't figure out a way to make the best out of the situation. So they spend so much time miserable when they could have found happiness.
Its gonna be ok Meghan. Its gonna be ok. You special lady.
