I love the big things that tax money pays for that we would other wise pay for our selves.Doctor who, black adder, Monty python, QI, have i got news for you, not the 9oclock news, question time, BBC news, red dwarf, doctor who, Sherlock, Gardeners question time, Radio 1, Radio 2, Blue Planet, Walking with dinosaurs, top gear, live at the Apollo, BBC online...
For 39p a day.

The worst thing about being stuck as a British ex-pat in America? NO BBC :( It's easy to grouse about it when you have it, but when you don't, BELIEVE ME - you miss it.

Well done. We need to stand up for and support the BBC more now than ever before.

I'm German, and I would love to have BBC access here in Germany, but I can't. We only got BBCWorldwide, which only has news. I would pay triple the price to get BBC down here.
Well then, back to importing "Doctor Who", "Sherlock", and "Monty Python" DVD-Boxes! :D
Simply, thank you BBC, for making my life more enterteining in a clever, funny, and dramatic way !

@1notyourmum1 And a load of adverts.

As an American, I am insanely jealous of the wealth of ad-free programming the BBC provides. Most of my favorite shows, Top Gear and Doctor Who, for example, are BBC productions. I turned on my television a few days ago and a commercial immediately informed me how my sex life could be improved with the help of one simple pill. I turned it right back off.

I would gladly pay twice as much for a license fee if it meant that I never had to watch another advert ever again.
The BBC must be defended for all the reasons in this video and so much more.
Fuck Murdock and his evil empire. Up the beeb

It is shocking that people would grouse about paying £13 a month for a wealth of programming, when they are more than happy to pay £500 a year for Sky, which is about 20% new programming, and the rest the dreck from the US!
