Just a correction: Dwarf fortress, or at least the core game, is NOT open source. Be nice if it was, but I guess toady prefers it that way. Oh well

Thanks for posting all these tutorials. I tried DF a while back but gave up within 5 minutes because couldn't figure out what was going on, but now I think I'll try it again with your help.
