A summer solstice fire festival celebrated in the Pyrenees Mountain town of Durro. Villagers make wooden sticks, which are lit high on top of the mountain. Villagers then run at break neck speed until reaching the village, where the falles are thrown into a bonfire. A celebration of the sun, and life itself. A ritual used to protect crops against disease and witches.
