As a climax on the kids show Fred Kaps performs his soft glass routine. All in Dutch. Starts to explain that he uses 4 small windows nad marks them so that he can't switch or move them, because he doesn't cheat like other magicians ;-). The rest is self explanatory. From the tv show Klassewerk 1972

  • @Reallush And another thing, many Dutch people have stupid names like joosterskop. Kaps real name was actually Bram Bongers. He was so embarrassed about his silly Dutch name he had to change it to Fred Kaps.

  • @Reallush Look, you don't need to speak Dutch to understand this effect. He's penetrating a glass pane with the tags and ribbons, only he pushes them in parallel to the glass surface. It's still a lame effect!!

Anyway, Dutch is a silly language that nobody wants to speak, Vjoosakrnanjajoosanheiven. That's why all the Dutch speak perfect English as well, because no one else wants to listen to their silly little language. They should have done this video in English, LOL.

  • @CaraBrimleyRules you're not gettin it, this was in the PAST it doesn't have anything to do with getting on tv NOW.

and obviously you won't see it these days BECAUSE its not that impressive. it's foundation magic... geez... don't you understand... and your biggest problem is I BET YOU DON'T SPEAK DUTCH so the entire performance isn't good for you because you don't understand..

please stop commenting.. your ignorance is irritating

  • @Reallush The thing is though, this was such a bad effect! I can't think of any type of magic show where one could use this. Too boring for kids, not mystifying for adults. You certainly wouldn't see this effect on today's TV, the producers would kick it right off the show!

  • @CaraBrimleyRules I don't CARE about the audience if they liked if or not.., i don't CARE what you think of this vid but I do get bothered that people like you keep on NAGGIN like a little girl about how you don't like this video.. GROW UP

  • @Reallush This was a terrible effect and totally the wrong effect for that audience anyway. They were bored out of their minds.

  • enjoy the vid ppl it's the presentation that it's about not the trick, magic evolves.. so thats why todays tricks are "better" in some ways but without proper show.. it's nothing but a boring slight.

those who find this boring.. go watch david blain sit in an icecube for a week or whatever..

  • @isfanandrei So he died in 1980, you already told me. That doesn't make me stupid, though? I'm just telling you his stuff is not up to today's standards, There are magicians of the past whose effects ARE up to today's standards, for example Paul Daniels was great although he doesn't perform bigtime anymore.

  • @CaraBrimleyRules STUPID GIRL!!HE DIED IN 1980

  • @isfanandrei This wasn't even good magic. You can see him inserting the the things almost parallel to the glass not through it at right angles! I have seen him perform some other "magic" as well and non of it is very good. There is a dancing cork which is done with invisible thread and a salt pour where he gets a gimmick filled with salt in his hand, pours some salt and then you can see how he turns his body and puts the gimmick in his pocket. All very lame and not up today's standards at all!
