  • Beautiful, moving videos...heartbreaking that one mother, so damaged by her pain, couldn't allow herself to meet her daughter.

I'm reunited with my extremely loving son nearly 17 years...deeply sadden that other adoptees don't have access to knowing who they came from. I'm saddened to hear the beautiful young woman...with the blue-eyed family members, claim to understand her mother's pain while vowing to to adopt a child? Read 'The Girls Who Went Away' by Ann Fessler to truly understand...

  • Unbelievable that the one mother wouldn't even give medical information. What a witch. It is almost like she wanted to hurt her biological daughter. She obviously has no maternal instincts and that nice woman is way better off without her in her life. I'm so glad her husband found that letter and confronted her and I hope she feels guilty, but I doubt it. She's not human in my opinion.

  • Thank you, Cristy! I am a birth mom who has an open adoption relationship. I am an advocate for reunions, if both parties are comfortable with it. I also support the release of medical information or birth certificates to adoptees.

  • I was finally able to view both parts, Cristy. So very, very moving. Very well-done. You avoid falling into stereotypes and cliches, presenting a balanced portrait of both adoptees and birthmothers in search and reunion. I hope you will do more of this work and that your work reaches a wide audience. Thanks so much for all your work.

I pray that Tim and all the other adoptees get the answers they need and have a right to.

  • Wow. Very powerful. I was adopted myself. About 4 1/2 years ago I found 4 of my biological siblings and about a year ago found another. My bio parents are both deceased, but I am looking for other relatives....

  • I'm linking both videos (1&2) in hopes that birth parents will watch these videos and consider what their responses to their relinquished children really mean.

Thank you for this/these. Hard for me to watch and consider but very necessary.

  • Wow...thank you from another mother of loss.

Now let's open those records so you don't have to try so hard!!

  • Gee Cristy - I look HUGE in the video (I guess so at 9 months pregnant!) I'm now back into my size 6 clothes :-)

    Great job on the video
