Well firstly when you wrote your comment it was only 2009, so I assume that you meant 'in the past 100 years'?
Irrespective of this, please tell us what effects exactly he has actually CREATED? Or do you consider a boring, monotone voice and stories of magic that quite honestly patronise adults rather than entertain them, as being his 'creativity?

Actually I think he has reached a stage where the audience will adapt to his standard. Ofcourse there are situations and places where he would encounter disrespectful idiots, but lets leave them for what they are, 'idiots'...
He is a rare breed as apposed to all the fart joke telling copycats that call themselves 'professionals'...

@Konstantin1234 partially disagree. I have seen McBride live. he KNOWS theatre and drama. Ever see him do miser's dream? THAT is how you present without verbal patter. Whole crowd was laughing/clapping. Absolute gold.
I think you're more correct about Berger and Ammar, who are magician's magicians. They inspire us to do greater things, even though they AREN'T amazing performers themselves.

God this guy's presentation leaves me cold. Berger is a typical example of someone that preaches philosophy about magic yet would die a death working most venues professionally in the UK.
