Ford's world-class Michigan Assembly Plant is starting production of the 2013 Focus Electric, expected to be the first five-passenger, all-electric car to achieve more than a 100 miles per gallon equivalent (MPGe) fuel efficiency rating.
Focus Electric also is the first of its kind to feature faster charging, which will halve Nissan Leaf's time to fully recharge the battery and help drivers to more than double the expected single-charge range in a busy day of driving and recharging.
The car headlines Ford's transformed lineup, one-third of which will feature a model with 40 mpg or more in 2012, building on the company's commitment to give fuel-efficiency-minded customers the Power of Choice.
No matter what you wear when you build a car. The car will wear your name on itself. Great job, Michigan! Thank you!

@PHY104 These people are everyday working Americans and they struggle just like every1 else. They are not any type of office executive or ceo that dresses in a suit that would cost the average worker half a year's worth of work to buy. If you want to assemble a vehicle in a suit, fine - in your pj's, fine, - in average cloths, fine, just get the job done and get it done right.

Isn't this the normal Focus? If yes, this is seriously misleading. If no, hmm...

Just imagine where the electric car would be today if they had continued to improve it since its inception 100 years ago!

They were actually building the electrics in tandem with the ICEs. Because an electric car has no used for an engine or exhaust. This showed very little of them assembling the electrics and mostly them assembling the ICE variants.
