We ended up having 2 Shellback events on our deployment (hey that makes sense). The second one was even wetter than the first. This one even included Midshipmen that road the ship home with us.
this doesn't look so bad. Man I'm dreading my day. I just enlisted... I leave in June for basic. So yeah... who knows how long til this happens to me!
You do realize that the person who made the video is a WOMAN who has served onboard 3 combatant ships don't you. Get into the 21st century please. I agree it was lame, but don't blame women because people have become softer
man these videos scare me. lol. I am supposed to go through OCS next summer, and none of you will tell me what's up. My husband is a USMC vet and went through this, and he won't even tell me.
Thanks for the post. I crossed on the Connie (CV-64) in 96. As a pit snipe, the worst "humiliation" and beating took place in the engineroom. After that, it was gravy!
Unless you have experienced this, you have no idea. Thanks again.
