I would love it if she went back to gymnastics but if she doesn't want to do it anymore, as annoyed as I might be, it's her decision and I will accept it regardless. As Marta Karoyli said, "You have to have a true love of gymnastics in order to do well in it."

You are the immature one if you think you get to decide what her goals should be as a gymnast. she's the one who gave her blood sweat and tears to the sport, so she's the one who gets to decide what she wants to achieve. if she feels she accomplished what she set out to do, then good for her. and I'm sure her coach agrees because he's awesome. I think Shawn shows great maturity by taking her time to decide whats next for her, and not letting peoples silly expectations cloud her judgment.

i agree with you but than again gymnastics is a totally different sport than track and in gymnastics most of your prime is when your young .. if she returns she will be what 20? thats hard for a gymnast

When she says; "I fulfill my life long dream at 16..."; she's been so naive; it's like, imagine someone telling Tyson Gay or Sanya Richards or even Mohini Bhardwaj; "hey you guys, you know what, now that you have a gold, silver, bronze medal to show for, it's time to move on". Huh! It makes me cringe! It only shows how immature Shawn still is. You do not go to the Olympics or, you do not train on a sport just to get a one time deal, to me, that's a waste of time, and a waste of the coach time!
