The background noise is cause partly by the lens' motor and by the super steady shot mechanism. You have to connect an external mic to get better results/

@wanaeat its the internal mic. any camera with an internal mic has that sound

@wanaeat mine does it too... I guess that the autofocus isn't perfect :/

@wanaeat the steadyshot focus system is an internal system on this camera which, while it's great for some situations, causes a lot of issues for the sound when shooting video in the a55's.
