Former Arsenal striker Alan Smith discusses the South Africa World Cup 2010 at Grass Roots Football LIVE 2010.

Alan started his football career at grass roots level with Alvechurch but was quickly spotted by Leicester City where he enjoyed a fruitful 5 seasons which included a feared partnership with Gary Linekar. His consistent form earned him a high profile move to Arsenal where Alan enjoyed great success including 2 league championships, FA Cup and European Cup Winners Cup medals. He now enjoys a successful media career and is a regular co-commentator for Sky Sports.

  • andy gray is the most annoying sidekick hater in fifa, im glad to see him go

  • Gray was shit, no one likes the Scottish accent, especially not for football commentary.

  • Him and Martin Tyler are on Fifa 12 and the only other choice is Clive Tyldsley with Andy Townsend? So a good commentator with a guy with a speech impediment and a good commentator with a guy who knows nothing about football at all!
