Infected is riddled with explosions, guts,
and bad ass rock music.
Oh yes, there will be rock.
Infected is a rather simple game that starts
out with choosing a officer to play as, your "avatar".
The avatar selection is limited at first but as
you progress through the game you will unlock
new ones that you can purchase with hazard pay.
Avatars can be customized by hair color,
hair type, outfit, and outfit color.
Enough to feed anyones customizing needs.
The story goes, a deadly infection is spreading through New York city and your just the officer to stop it.
Even better your blood has the cure/power
to kill the zombies so it's you vs all.
Gameplay is as follows you have two weapons, on the left you have a blood gun that destroys zombies and on the right a standard pistol.
As you beat missions you get Hazard pay by completing the objectives and saving civilians.
This pay can be used to buy items once they've been unlocked through campaign.
The items range from new avatars to upgraded
weapons, health, speed, and powerups.
In game you start out with the blood gun and pistol even though you have bought the other weapons you dont immediately have them.
As you kill zombies you fuel your weapon bar so as long as you keep killing you can keep your guns.
As you fill this meter you'll automatically switch to a new weapon once you've killed enough zombies.
To kill a zombie you must weaken it with your primary weapon and kill it with your blood gun.
Weaken or kill zombies around one another to
make them link together for multiple one shot kills.
In most missions you need to kill all zombies in a set time and get a number of civilians to safety.
Be careful though if you die all citizens you have with you also die.
The game is heavily voiced and has a decent amount of cutscenes which are full of ironic humor.
For multiplayer Ad-Hoc and Infrastructure are available although Infrastructure is very limited that you cant even
pick your opponent.
Multiplayer for Ad-Hoc goes up to 8 players in 4 gametypes...
Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Mad Cow, and Savior.
The first two being cut and dry, leaving Mad Cow in which players try to keep a cow suit and Savior that leaves you
escorting civilians to escape choppers.
Personally I love this game in everyway, easy to pick up and hard to put down.
I recorded this on a PSP Phat using Remotejoy and Hypercam 2.
I love this game im glad to see im not the only one who still plays it its badass!!!!!!!!!!!
