Ultra-High Intensity Glow-Poi by James

Entering into my second month of practice. Having improved greatly I wanted to make a decent lightshow video. I gathered my great friends to handle the cameras and give their support. Then put some George Acosta in the car CD player. After that I cracked two 5 minute ultra-high intensity glowsticks attached to 20 inch poi chains.

Thanks for the comments! 4 years ago I was using those chains and went through several 50packs of high intensity glow sticks from a vendor I can't locate now. I still use those chains for fire.

Now, for the most part, I spin with a certain semi-elastic wide shoestring and flowlights from flowtoys. I have greatly improved as one would expect with several years of occasional practice. With flowers, stalls, fountains, some isolations and the like. Try it! its a lot of fun!

Took a look at your one video and gave you your third view. So now I get it. Your video is not suck because its edited and dubbed instead of strait off the camera. Thats cool, way to go. I like things natural, unedited , just the way they are myself. Grandpa is pimpin BTW.

switch to handles, would be way better for your style!!

Not sure what you mean by handles. I am using chains with leather loops that I considered handles. I actually vary the way I hold them during my poi-play. I have since experimented in other string types and styles. Attaching glows to the end I hold and actually holding the sticks. looping the string all the way around my hand and through the clip. As well as other materials and styles. Its all fun =P

@jilkman handles are solid... imagine like if you were swinging a mace. i like doing it the way you do, also because i feel like you have more freedom in movement, and you can do things like spiral wraps much easier
