@nigeltc76 I don't normally respond to comments like this, but for someone who does not live in the UK you really do not know. I have never heard anyone here say it like you do in the US.

@Southendaa Is it an accent thing? Or do the English just call it a rooter and the Americans a router (even though they spell it the same)? In Holland we use the American pronunciation (or word) nowadays. But when we got our first one, about 12 years ago, we actually called it a 'rooter'. At some point some people made it clear that it was wrong and that we should call it a router...

Yes, people, as you know, you "Americans" Speak English. We Pronounce words different in the UK, (How they should be), due to accents. We say Route like (Roote) End of, shut up.
