Hydrogen powered amature radio station

Beleived to be the first (non-university) amature radio station powered by Hydrogen Fuel cell.

Orkney Amature radio club broadcast a special events station "GB1-Hydrogen" for nearly 48 hours from a 5kW Plug Power Gencore Hydrogen Fuel cell system on loan from siGEN Ltd, Aberdeen.

Normally the radio station use a petrol generator which is noisly, smelly and gived very dirty electricity which gives poor radio performance.

Not sure, i think its more of a challenege to do with antennas, weather, etc. The internt is too easy - best to ask the Ham people the same question, its not my thing :)
