Fighting their way through the rubble of a bombed city, the heroes defeat one of the Cloud Children, strange creatures who thrive in cold temperatures and descend from the skies in the cover of nuclear winter.

The Cloud Child has a shield that absorbs a large amount of damage. When it is depleted, the Child rests on the ground to recharge the shield; this is your chance to attack it. Most of the Cloud Child's attacks are magical, so Aurora is absolutely essential. Since it has high armor, you might want to Damn the boss while it is recharging. Damn is not necessary when the shield is up since armor has no effect on it. Also remember that the Child is invulnerable while it is above ground. Try to time your attacks so that you do not attack at the same time as it does.

The music that plays during this boss fight is called "Clash at the Dragon's Gate" and is composed by Josh Whelchel.

  • what a strange game :S boss battles are fun to watch, but RPG's are a strange beast that are more fun to play than to view :3 still though, what IS this game D:

  • It's probably the most underrated RPG of the year, and yeah, I can't blame you for not knowing about it :b The guy who made it is not very good at marketing.

If it looks fun for you, google "the spirit engine" and you'll get to the game's website. It's not freeware; the full game costs something like twenty bucks, but you can get the first two chapters for free and try it out.

  • music is good but i never liked that kind of games lol i rather play ps3

  • This guy's totally my favorite boss in the game. Throw up Auroras until you're practically immune to his attacks, beat on his sheild with its zero armor until he falls, and then beat on his helpless behind as he struggles to grow it back. Works better if you use Empowdered Hack though; you'll do well over 1000 damage to the sheild every turn.
