transcribing is not the only way and does'nt not work for all in my opinion..
Others prefer to search music without copying.

VERY good advice. This is, in my opinion, is one of THE most important things you can do to become a good improviser and all around better player. If someone asked my what they should practice if they could only do one thing I'd say transcribe, transcribe, transcribe! Really cool lick too.
