It's pretty obvious that you guys are young, It's a peace song morphed into a political cry to fight segregation. Imagine 200,000 civil-rights protestors singing this together, very slowly, growing louder with each verse--until the sound waves vibrate everything and your whole body becomes and ear. It will make your hair stand up and your nipples hard duckies--and it turns the bigots' bowels to water thinking what would happen if all that power boiled over.

Why the hell are people nitpicking about the sound quality? Sure, the guitar's a little fuzzy but overall it's not any worse than most youtube videos, and her voice is in perfect shape- at its soaring, fluid best. It's a beautifully uplifting song, and I say she does it justice, and not just by virtue of being her but by sounding bloody good out here. As for the video quality, when you can listen, does it really matter? 84 dislikes, pah!

What liberty is threatened?

Have you no shame?

Since 9/11, there have been over 20,000 acts of terrorism committed worldwide by Islamic fundamentalists. Their aim, according to their own words, is to extinguish human liberty, so that everyone submit themselves to the will of Allah.

You might be oblivious of that, but people are still suffering right now in places like Pakistan, Thailand, Nigeria, The Philippines, Israel etc.

Go on pretending it doesn't happen, or in other words - Kumbaya.

Well it's only fair. Everyone contributes according to their own capacity in order to enjoy the benefits of living in a stable country. You could pretty much burn down a whole library of books on tax law and replace it with this 1 page tax plan. Now if you don't mind... I'm going to visit a random house and start singing kumbaya through their window. Great way to meet people :)

As a Classical liberal I would definitely be in favor. Gary Johnson's proposal seems very reasonable and could function. But we are going to have a hard time to convince liberals and other leftist to move away from progressive tax system, which in my opinion is immoral and economically flawed.

I don't remember Obama or Clinton ever singing kumbayah, and the US military is well ahead of any potential challenger - exactly what threat to liberty are you talking about? American paranoia -- thinking the world's trying to take away your liberty, your guns & bibles. The US would do well to mind their own affairs.

How about a flat tax rate for everybody? Perhaps make the first $15,000 -- $25,000 tax free. It's fair and simple. There should still be plenty of revenue for essential government services AND leaving people prosperous enough for a lively free market.
