IN Sweden they start running Morse from June 2009. Last week I saw the very first episode where Morse starts his career with Lewis. What a great series Inspector Morse is and John Thaw is magnificent. This is his best role though he made other great performances too but Morse was both arrogant and sensitive, loved classical music and was a very intellectual thinking type. I loved this character and John Thaw !

Some men just get more attractive as they turn older. John Thaw was an example of that. Last night I saw the last episode of insp. Morse here on dutch television. The one where he dies from a heartattack. I never saw it before and it brought tears to my eyes when I saw him lying on that bed, knowing that a couple of years later that scene would be for real... What a marvelous actor he was and what a gorgeous man he was. We miss him!

John Thaw was a great actor. I personally think his best performance was in Home To Roost.

Thank you for the compliment. I wish some of my videos could be longer. I need to obtain more photos. That music is the Crown Diamond Overture, a gorgeous piece of music by French composer Auber, which is rarely heard.
