Today Sunflower is a little less angry. She actually shared the feeder briefly with another squirrel before deciding to go insane. She was more concerned about me today than yesterday. I checked with the CDC regarding rabies, highly unlikely. Animal Control will be viewing these videos on Monday.

  • I once saw this amazing squirrel video were one was protecting its' dead friend run over by a vehicle. The scavenger birds came in & wanted to eat it. The distraught squirrel kept chasing the crows away while staying by the dead one in the road. I admire their intelligence & tenacity, but sometimes they just can't be reasoned with. I also have several epic squirrel videos uploaded that you'd love. Thanks for showing this one off, though. That one's nuts!

  • @mastermind I'm making it my business to watch all your videos, so I'll see your squirrel ones soon. I saw your little black one and the hoards of greys.

  • One acting just like this tried to attack me a few weeks ago. Luckily my dog grabbed it and killed it before it had a chance to bite.

  • @IAMGiftbearer Pretty scary when you consider they're all over the place, squirrels, and there's no telling when one may decide to become aggressive. There are dogs where I live now, so I imagine a squirrel acting like this would at least be challenged here. What kind of dog do you have?

  • Thank you for your response , it is interesting.Poor animals, they can be very sick too.may be that one was very, very hungry and plus c. pepper made him insane.I feel sorry for sick and hungry animals, especially squirrels and bunnies.

  • @MegaTaice It's a small world, suffering is universal. It's very telling who will and will not lend a hand. I watch and hope for Karma in too many cases.

  • @MegaTaice CDC said that squirrels don't usually contract rabies, they usually die before they can spread it from the initial attack they've received from another rabid animal. However, squirrels DO get crazy like this from a disease they get that gives them...are you ready for this...? BRAIN WORMS. So when you see a squirrel acting drunk or having balance issues, that is usually the case: Brain worms.

  • This is just an animal, probably very hungry. What CDC told you about it?
