@MrLucasLio I'm going to have to disagree here. The Irish version walks it, hands down. The candidates work harder and are given so much more to do in tasks than any other version. The candidates themselves are great TV (ok we may have to concede that Tre, Katy bloody Hopkins, Sophocles and Baggs with his field of ponies were fantastic telly). But if you're looking for entertainment, I have one name for you, Breffney. And yes I am still bitter about my Amstrad stereo that didn't work in the 80s
@cannoir The first three places of my list are Bill, Kelly and Kendra, respectively the winners of The Apprentice US seasons 01, 02 and 03. Thing is, nowadays, the american version has gone to celebrities and is not coming back. People got tired of the drama (because american TV shows ooze drama) with regular people and are now interested in the show because of their favorite celebrities. The drama is still there, but at least it's more fitting with the contestants and the purpose of the show.
@cannoir The best version of The Apprentice in the world is the UK one. Alan Sugar is the perfect fit for the program and the contestants are more-or-less good every year. In the UK version I have found three of the most outstanding contestants in every edition of the show across the globe: Stella and Helen (4th and 5th places in my overall ranking) and Jim (isolated in first as the best salesman in face-to-face sales. But he's not in the overall ranking).
@cannoir You have GOT TO BE KIDDING ME with the New Zealand version of the show. I've watched all seasons of seven Apprentices across the globe (US, Australia, UK, Brazil, Ireland, Spain and New Zealand) and NZ had - at best - OK contestants, with an OK overall show. Serepisos, by the way, is probably never going to host another Apprentice... And I don't know if NZ has anyone that could replace him. Not that he was good, it's just that there might not be anyone around with as much money.
But he's taken it well before he slammed the candidates and then the Donald got his cut as its his franchise and he gets another cut off the ads and the products placements .I suppose this time around they had more phones as businesswise Ireland has very few to offer anyway. The candidates are too innocent this year.If you pit those against the US ones, the US ones would eat all of them for lunch ( at once ).
The problem with this one is that they make almost no attempt to hide the product placements. The US apprentice has enough fiery people in general. I prefer the New zealand version of the show ( yes I watched that one too ). My problem is always the make up of the candidates. its way too many marketing people, to many sales people.Self made there is always the token one and most times they are as dull as fish chips.
