@QueenOfOpal123 A slug's nervous system is advanced enough to react to certain stimuli (touching it with finger, salt, ect.), but it does not possess a cerebral cortex (part of brain that recognizes what we consider pain). Therefore, it is simply reacting, not feeling the pain.
