@LeJo82 thats exactly right. bb king used a combination of the major and minor pent. in different forms. and he never plays a wrong note! sweet huh?

@yamahabigbear123 Possibly when he started out, the vast majority of his recorded work is in Eb tuning.

Thx again for another great lesson. Good Luck in Philly... I tried to figure out why U go from b and slide to d (wich isn't in the minor pent.) in the second lick. It also isn't in the 4chord or 5chord minor pent, but it is in the major b scale, right ? Is this an example of mixing minor and major pent ?

what key is this or rather where is the root note for the first position so I know where I am.

@safenders Bflat, in half-step down tuning, this puts your root of the I chord at the 7th fret.
