On the back of the G-1 jacket does the leather thar looks like a half belt have a

offical name or what is it called on the jacket?

Our pattern people refer to it as the 'Back Band', and the small piece below it as 'Lower Back Panel'.

Dave, specifically, i was shocked by how thin and soft the so called goatskin is on my G1. USWING Has a good history and is a reputable company, the details is really good, but i have compared the cockpit goatskin, the cockpit goatskin is thin and light too, i guess it is what it is, but it has a obvisous waxy finish on the surface when you touch it, the finish makes the Cockpit goatskin more "slippery" and appear to be more abrasion-resistance, whereas my G1 feel more "tender". please help

hi Dave, how are you, my name is Reg and I am likely to be your potential customer for a flight jacket, I have a very good feeling about your service and made in usa quality and authenticity. but i am new to flight jacket (have been a biker and used to thick and heavy hide than the light weight goatskin), recently i acquired a USWINGS G1, and have mixed feelings. i really want your opinion to get a peace of mind and get educated.

Seriously, how do these jackets compare to the Japanese makers? It's looks like a very nice G-1, but compared to the makers like Toys McCoy, The Real McCoys and The Few... It certainly looks better than the gardbage that Coopers and Cockpit makes...

Beware with these guys. I ordered the G-1 in April, in June, they shipped it to the wrong address and it was never seen again. When I called and asked that they refund my money, they sent UPS to my current address looking for the jacket that had been shipped to the wrong address. They finally refunded my credit card in August. Nobody called to apologize or explain what had happened. In fact they never called or emailed me. They claimed that they would but never did.

@dpiddycanfly - We use the same color leather for both. You have a choice of Dark Brown or Seal.
