spring break project

so this is what i'v been up to all spring break...seriously all my free time. anyways this is L3X BLU3R1V3R sliced halo 3 sniper rifle model from the 405th forums. i'v almost got all the cardboard details and will hopefully soon be covering it in resin and smoothing it all with bodyfiller for the final look.
there's also a look at my newly re-built odst pistol that's the correct thickness and another look at my BR that hasen't moved since the last update. hopefully i'll have that one done at the same time that i get the sniper rifle done which i'm planning on finishing by no later then the end of this upcoming summer.

how thick does the cardboard have to be for sliced weapons?

@Xcal131 i'm not sure exactly what thickness i use or what should be used. i use fry boxes from my local mcdonalds and those seem to be a pretty good thickness if not just a little but big for some files since i have to drop a slice or two.

@paradoxdj did abit of research on the 405th and i think each slice should be about 1/4" <-- a quarter of an inch which means i have to cut out each slice 3 times with cardboard to get the right thickness and with the sniper thats alot of cardboard so i'm opting for the odst pistol for now

Im still working on me helmet for noble six, but i have taken a look at the sniper pep file and it doesnt look too bad actually.

@SunlightData haha yeah, there was a sliced file floating around before the forums switch to the new servers, it's probably a couple pages back in the order now though
