I did this video during the 60th Anniversary, Its a very small part of the 4 hours video i did about all the D-DAY Anniversary .
I put this on internet just before June 2006, I am a French who recognise and who remember ...
This part of France was the theater of the most amazing part of our history . To walk on this very special beach, and in the American cimetary just upstairs on the hill , makes me very sad . When you're there , you can feel what happened down here. The speech is from an American military officer at the 60th anniversary

  • As i do every times i go there, thank you

  • Wow im only about 11 and I thought the beach would be easy and cool but now I understand and feel why people that were there watching their brothers and friends get shot all that stuff never wanted to talk about it I still wanted to be there cause it would be better me dead than the guy next to me im sure and I still plan on going to whatever war I can get into butI want to do plaintball first to get some of the feel and fear of the real thing.

  • Learn to make the difference between reality and video games and paintball stuffs, that's history and real life not a game, thank you

  • @KristyLn I WISH I COULD GO ONE DAY IT IS BEAUTIFUL RIGHT

  • why play the music from band of brothers, the 101 never went near omaha.

  • Although some french people hate America, they should not considering America liberated france in WWII

  • i am german and american... not that i want to insult french but dont they hate americans???? its cause this joke is so famous

  • That's really terrific. Merci beaucoup.

  • im sure that on time, i'll go to this beach an i will feel the history and i will feel the brave of this guys who died for us. and perhaps i want to find an old granade or a weapon under water.

  • i've been to this place in summer of 2007. I've to say i'm german. But this was the most beautiful place i've ever been to. If you have the chance to get to this beach and the great american cemetery you have to take it. You can truly feel the history on that ground. it's an outstanding memory i'll never forget.

  • That was touching. As a soldier, it really makes me feel good to see your appreciation for the men who fought to free France. Thank you.
