  • Beautiful! it is visually just as much a fairy tale as the music is :)

  • That Rose Fairy moves like she's flying!! What a beautiful dancer! Her costume was extravagant as well! I just love this piece <3

  • @poshcli i'm an experience dancer, on pointe, about to attend the kirov ballet summer intensive, and i totally agree with this. i have lots of experience in Nutcrackers, and I was clara in 2011. I AGREE!!! i mean, i still can't dance as good as them, but it seemed like everybody was having an off day or something. maybe it was the last performance? after 30 or 40 nutcrackers, i guess the dancers are sick of nutcracker..

  • @poshcli Yeh, I was thinkin that. And I can't say I know alot about dance. :S But it just sort of ruined it a little.

  • I'm not one to like girly stuff but this was just sooo amazingly beautiful!

  • @themandeepandee hehe c: that'd be one way to do things, they probably just wear wigs x)

  • Gary Avis is amazing.

  • @poshcli Yeah, I actually watched another performance of this version of the ballet by the this group. Some performers were different but the reason I started searching for this part online was cos I thought it was a tad disappointing on TV and wanted to check on other performances of this part. After seeing this performance, I guess it's an intrinsic problem that extends through performances.

Then again I shouldn't be saying so much since I can't even go en pointe!

  • Wow do you think they all had to dye their hair the same color or do they just have so many dancers in their company that blondes are just at their finger tips!! Beautiful dance.

  • the broom was taking and was told that not lust but love was shown by the prince and the court paraded the news to everywhere they could in every way they could then the people rejoiced that the prince a declared his flower above all others and the flower was delighted and the people enjoyed the cleaned crushed nuts by the prince and his flower

  • I crack up every time I see this dance. I love being a dancer and being in the Nutcracker but my family always makes fun of the Dew Drop/Rose Fairy because she kind of leaps around and jumps off like 9 times and it's pointless...they have a point!

  • Not to be a downer or take anything away from the talent of these wonderful dancers, but I'm actually watching this right now and I find the whole thing rather disturbing not to mention slightly sloppy, in almost every routine no one is on time or synchronised. The Rose Fairy in this has been the highlight of the whole production for me. Perhaps I'm too used to Eastern European companies that have synchronicity down to a science, because this didn't really do it for me at all. :(
