Can't unless you use a cheat and change your model, if that even works anymore.

That is the games cover mechanic. You can hide behind something and shoot around a corner without exposing yourself. Only drawback is that it is not very accurate.

I think you may need to be connected to the SocialClub as well. Before you start the game log in to that.
