Only a minor difference.........nothing special!! I think you can wait 2 or 3 seconds longer (IF there really is a differnce with the latest firmware) when you safe 100€/100$!

@serioussaad the phat is better performance wise anyway because the hardware componants used in the slim are not as good.

Sony has no warnings about using a 7200RPM hard drive. I've only use 7200RPM hard drives. Never had a problem.

It is slower by a few seconds. Nothing drastic.

The colors are different because I turned off the camera after testing the MGS4 80GB and forgot to white balance for my tests on the Slim.
