  • Who the hell could dislike this?

  • @exposed97 Yes I know the sort of thing you mean (Horrible plastic junk) Sorry that's just my opinion. But It still shouldn't have played the second sequence twice, so who knows? .... Not me ;)

  • @exposed97 Cant say I've ever heard a quartz clock chiming in that manner. It is however possible for a mechanical chime to go out of sequence if the pin barrel becomes loose or is set up incorrectly, but that wouldn't cause the 2nd sequence to sound twice.

  • @samanli1 You don't say!!!

  • what are the notes or letters for the Westminster chime?

  • @bagpiper2005 You said it mate! In a reply to bobofbob5 I mentioned how I bought myself a clock like this on eBay. I have a friend who has a quartz clock with westminster chimes, but the chimes are electronic, loud, and terribly artificial! My clock doesn't play westminster chimes, but it does strike on the hour, a wonderful and deeply soothing sound!

  • @bobofbob5 I couldn't agree more. I love clocks. I like how comforting the ticking sound is, especially on cold, dark winter nights when I'm alone in my house. But no matter how many quartz clocks I have, nothing, and I really do mean NOTHING compares to a good old mechanical clock! I recently bought such a clock on eBay, and althought it doesn't play westminster chimes it does strike on the hour. It's simply wonderful to hear!

  • this sound likes time signal in radio of thailand

  • I completely agree. Quartz will never quite match the artistry and skill that goes into the making of a mechanical clock, nor will it ever fully capture the richness and resonance of mechanically struck rods, bells, or tubes.

  • its creepy how they do that all by themselves. but then again, if they didnt, we wouldnt have that beautiful sound.
