It had coil overs on when i bought it but with the weight of the spitfire engine in the boot the ride felt to stiff. The standard shocks and cut springs handle so much better!

just fitted GMAX springs to the car, cut a few coils off to get it extra low, sitting about a mil of the florr now, looks proper pimp!

Have you actually seen a Merlin engine,i don't think so.

I have,as i worked in the rolls Royce plant in Glasgow and have saw one up and running and trust me your hairdryer sounds feck all like one and is too big to fit in a vectra no matter what mods you did.

Keep taking the tablets though as they may work one day.

I worked there aswell mate, do you know bob the foreman? what a nice chap he was! I worked there back in 69, after I came back from nam. Anyway Fred the head tech helped me shoe horn the lump into the boot, just about fits, even managed to keep the standard interior!!

you seriously think you sound cool, btw when you cut the springs you lose a lot of the stifness in the springs, what you are actuely doing is ruining the handling of the car, only a morron would cut the springs on a modern car, seriously you can buy springs that you can adjust the hight of, its called a lowering kit, you might have heard of it... -.-

And yeah, a 1.8 liter engine couldnt possibly have 1000bhp with the technolegy whe have today, and there will probably never be technolegy to make a 1.8L engine performe 1000bhp.

a 1.8 might be able to do around 600bhp if you do a LOT of tuning, but a normal person would have needed to work over 20 years before that person would have had enough money to afford the all the parts needed
