  • hey thanks for the video response, it was kewl, and it really clarified a lot about that holiday

your german is pretty good, i understood it...BAH! when i was in amsterdam i tried calling my friend, and i couldnt, so a dutch lady robot said my call couln't be made, and i understood it because a lot of german and dutch words apparently are very similar, that was kewl i thought, like 2 languages in one, but some words are just totally out there!

  • You're welcome.

Oh yeah, Dutch and German have a lot of similarities. But the German grammatic is so difficult. There are so many rules. It's insane haha..

I'm glad you're doing good over there. Where in Germany are you? When are you leaving? Maybe we should meet one day if you have time. =]]

  • i demand more shirtless videos! :P

  • Can you say "nationalism"?? D:

  • Oh, and about wanting to come to Canada - one of my friends from the Netherlands did an exchange to Fanshawe College (London Ontario) to come over here for school for four months and found it to be a good experience.

Maybe you could get an exchange either here, or to your other destination of choice, California?

  • Sounds a lot less commercial than here in Canada.

Here Santa Claus comes on Christmas Eve. But we have the parades in late November. It gets earlier every year so people shop sooner.

Then the mall santas show up for the children to get their pictures with them and to tell them what they want for Christmas. The santas are santa's helpers if anyone asks.

Children tend to be told or figure it out by age 7, and there are tears a plenty. Santa gifts are usually over $100 per kid.

  • actually, "sinterklaas" is just "saint nicolas". It is the celebration of his name day on the 6th december.

  • WOOOOOO CANADA!!!! hehe <--- Crazy Canadian!

  • i am doing pretty good over here, i've learned so much within the small amount of time i've been here, and that is THE TITS!

  • wooohoo.. quebec.. remember :)

  • Thanks for the explanation of Sinter Klaus (spelling??) - i watched Delhi's video and was very confused. Hey Ericos, I hope you can find a job in California! You looked like you really loved it there. Good luck man! xo
