I think it's really interesting that the focal point of the music isn't a chord progression. Chord progressions all tend to just fall into the pattern of the circle of fifths and become quite predictable. But I don't see why there has to be so much repetition. That pulsating eighth note gets really irritating and boring.

hahahaha that's hilarious. yeah for sure you need to be conscious of why it's interesting to state repetition and simplicity in contemporary music. I don't think most people get why this would be good. and anyway it's

true that it's not that good. that was relevant in the 60s when the high art ideology was still very present. but today I feel like it's just better to make film music or pop, or start a band. I mean if everyone thinks minimalism is boring then it means it's irrelevant today XD!
