Sonata published 1742. Composer: Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach (1714-1788).
Movements 1-2, recorded during a church service on 25 October 2009. Bradley Lehman, piano (Yamaha).
Demonstration of the "Bach/Lehman 1722" unequal temperament; see http://www.larips.com for further details. Its recipe: F-C-G-D-A-E 1/6 comma; E-B-F#-C# pure; C#-G#-D#-A# 1/12 comma.
The composition requires 17 different notes: Bbb, Fb, Cb, Gb, Db, Ab, Eb, Bb, F, C, G, D, A, E, B, F#, C#.
The first time that I have enjoyed listening to a Yamaha. The well-tempered tuning brings the piano to life. Expressive, but without the intonation sounding "bumpy". Yamahas sound very bland and lifeless when tuned to ET. This is clearly the answer.

what a strange idea: this music played during the church service!!!
why? there's a lot of SACRED music for the Church services. Would you play a Bach Cantata in a disco pub?
