Great vid! I followed your instruction and it works perfectly. This is exactly what I have been trying to do. What is the significance of setting 2ch and 16ch to built in ? I left that out and it all seems to work fine. When I turned them on I got bad feedback.

I selected "Soundboard + Default" as my microphone in Skype, but when I make a test call, Skype hangs up and gives me the message: "Call ended - problem with your microphone."
I can switch the microphone setting on Skype to JUST my microphone and make a test call no problem. Any ideas or suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated!

It'd be great if you could write out the step by step in text as well in the description.
Thanks Nick for this video. I too use Garageband to record Special Chronicles podcast and on the latest episode #16, I recorded all in one track and had the sound clips on my iPod, it seemed to work good, but thanks for sharing multitrack. Once I have some time away from class, I'll have to look into this- it seems like it'll be really useful! So, this must of been how you record In Between Sundays #54 "Nature's Call" episode, right?!! So nice to see the behind the scenes.

@danielthephotoman Hey Dan, we actually used a different process, which prompted me to come up with this. We'll be recording In Between Sundays this way from now on, because it gives me greater control over editing in post-production.
