@Mightfox I think you missed the point in what he was saying, there are a lot of true bisexual people, but some people like myself and Dan when we were young and stupid did a disservice to the bisexual community by taking the middle ground and portending to be something we are not because we could not accept the fact we were lesbian or gay. its not the true bisexuals that he is criticizing its the people that are trying to be something they are not he is criticizing and its not bigotry

I could think of a better analogy, but you basically sound like this: "Of course people doubt that black people won't steal from them. Many of them have seen/heard of black people stealing from them or their friends. We're not persecuting you, its just a fundamental truth that black people are poor and more likely to steal from people. But black people who don't steal do exist. But I get to justify being bigoted because of a "majority"."

@Arborverden Yes, I agree. Please dont push bisexuals to go "oh, it must be that Im gay, Im lesbian, its a phase" when they are not. I know bisexuals for a fact and had been so for years and years, true and honestly; completely identified with the greys; please stop that black and white thing; of course bisexuality exists, and true bisexuals will die bisexuals. and its time to recognize it as a specific orientation, just as gay-straight-trans, etc. COME ON.

LOVING the fact that he said he and his boyfriend kinda strayed away from the gay community, because they have much more in common with their straight friends. Hallelujah! I'm a lesbian and have more in common with straight people... I have 0 lesbian or gay friends. So glad I'm not alone! :)

Part 2 Then there are the healthy unconfused bisexuals who when they meet someone for a relationship, the sex or gender doesn't matter. I mean, they are still attracted physically to that person, but it's about the person, so they are lucky in this sense, because there's more to choose from. (-: The question arises though: Do they find one sex more attractive than the other and will this lead to infidelity/cheating? Can a bisexual person ever be satisfied in a monogamous relationship?

In my experience I have found bisexuals to be either in a phase between straight or gay(usually young adults) or they use the word bisexual or bi-curious to escape the stigma from society. Usually, the behaviour is very clandestine, where they will have a hetero lover or spouse, but will cheat on the side, and they use words like "discreet" or "down low" in personal ads that almost exclusively are about casual sex. Not all, but a good number of bisexuals just have a sort of greedy fetish.

I personally identify as bisexual and while I know that personally for me it is not some "choice" or "phase" I can understand where he is coming from. A lot of people (I mostly notice this with females) in high school/college identify as bisexual when they are really just bi curious or perhaps not ready to identify as gay or lesbian yet. He has a very valid point; I think he is just somewhat generalizing.

@Arborverden no actually you do agree with Dan on this one 2:27 "yeah bisexuality exists." he is not saying bisexuality dose not exist, but that some gays, lesbians and even some straight people for all sorts of reasons convince themselves they are bi and that is a disservices to the bi community because these pretenders make the rest of the community seem less credible then it really is. he believes true bisexuals exist, but not everyone that claims to be bi is actually bi.
