Interactive sound sculpture called "The Speaking Orbs" as seen at the EMP Experience Music Project in Seattle. Now back at home with me. The original version of the Orbs was lighter and more portable, but the EMP guys really made it into a robust, kid-proof unit.
The Orbs were originally used by me when I was doing one man industrial music shows in Seattle. I did not want people just looking at guy playing a keyboard, so I made the Orbs and several other midi controllers and audio devices that looked interesting - at least more interesting than me!
The original Orbs were powered by a PAVO miditoolkit computer. It is currently powered by a basic stamp provided by the EMP.
