Formerly known as Piano Hero, Synthesia is a video game much like Guitar Hero that utilizes MIDI piano keyboards in conjunction with MIDI files.

I have a question, what usb did you use to connect your mac to the piano?

@L00seHell93 If your piano has direct-to-USB connectivity, then a standard USB A to B cable (often used with printers) should work fine. In this video, the Yamaha Clavinova CLP-120 piano did not have a USB port, so I used a simple USB MIDI interface to connect it to the Mac. I can recommend the Yamaha UX16 USB MIDI interface if you're looking for one.

@KeyRiku It should work fine. You just need a simple USB MIDI interface because I don't think the DGX-300 has direct-to-USB connectivity.

Your tutorials are great and with this video, I discovered Synthesia. I have a Roland A-33. It's a MIDI Keyboard Controller, but without a tones generator (I have a Yamaha MU50), it doesn't works, because it's a mute keyboard. Do you know if Synthesia works with this keyboard? Thank you from Italy!
