-_- she is not evil. all i am saying.

@undergroundalcoholsi That´s not true, either she didn´t fought at all or she fought in the defense of the Teleri, depents on which version you believe, but she never took the oath and wasn´t a decendant of Feanor, he was her half uncle, she hated him, because she always sensed a darkness in him and wanted to thwart him in every way she could, after he killed the kin of her mother.

Ariantina isn't exactly wrong. Galadriel is a descendant of Feanor. She was present at the kinslaying at Alqualonde. She's not exactly innocent...

@Sinanthir Sad? Of all Elves, Feanor was most definitely EVIL!

Epic!!!!

@Ariantina Actually there are people who study Tolkien's writings their entire lives as they relate to Christian allegory. But, I appreciate your awesome imagination!!!

It is ironic, though, that Galadriel gets so much credit for refusing to take the Ring. She could have and should have used it to defeat Sauron and THEN destroyed it. LOTR looks so different after one has read the Silm.

@Corleone649 Feanor was the Greatest of All...so sad how he died...
you may read the answer I gave to bookkeeper57 . I'm afraid it concerns you as much as it does him.

Nope, Galadriel was the daughter of the Elves Finarfin and Earwen, and crossed into Middle Earth over the Helcaraxe, following Fingolfin. Though high-up on the list of Noldor, she is certainly Elven, not Maia. I suspect you're confusing Galadriel with Melian, Queen to Thingol of Doriath. Melian was the only Maia to wed a 'child of Iluvatar' (Elves & Men) - and she left Doriath after Thingol was slain.
