I agree, but Son House doesn't fall in with the true pioneers of 1920s blues like like Leadbelly and Robert Johnson do. Check out Lonnie Johnson. He was an enormous influence on Robert and in my opinion the second most important musician of the 20th century next to Louis Armstrong.
