  • @UnkleSi It is not water proof, but it floats and the payload compartment is water-tight. For water, that is the recovery method. For land, it simply lands on the ground. It has two large "bumpers" on the bottom/front of the fuselage. No wheels. Depending on the terrain, it can last multiple missions.

  • @sangmini Nope. It is designed for multiple uses. Water and land. It is deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan now too. Although the terrain in Afghanistan is so rocky, it has a high damage rate for fuselage repairs.

  • That must be designed for one time use. The effort to have the plane back in war time can be extremely consuming.

  • Is it water proof? Is that the recovery method? Just land in water and pick it up? Cool plane
