Strikeforce Champion Ronaldo "Jacaré" Souza: Pre-Fight Interview

MMA H.E.A.T.'s Karyn Bryant spent some time with Brazilain Jiu Jitsu bad-ass Ronaldo "Jacaré" Souza Santos (12-2) six days before his title match with Tim Kennedy. The former DREAM fighter will vie for the Strikeforce middleweight belt in Houston, TX on August 21, 2010. Jacaré is coming off of wins over Joey Villaseñor and Matt Lindland, and in the past has only suffered two losses: his debut fight against Jorge Patino, and the DREAM 6 Middleweight GP final against Gegard Mousasi. Joined by his manager Gilberto Faria (Jiu Jitsu Pro Gear), Jacaré talks about preparing for the fight with several big name Brazilian fighters, gives his thoughts on the Feijao/King Mo fight and even confesses to being a shopoholic. He also shows his excitement over his wife's impending delivery of a baby boy.

É com esse pensamento que o faixa-preta Ronaldo Jacaré chega para sua disputa de cinturão no Strikeforce, que acontece neste sábado (21) contra o americano Tim Kenedy. Em entrevista à repórter Karyn Bryant, parceira da TATAME nos Estados Unidos, Jacaré revelou que não espera ter vida tão fácil no chão, apesar do currículo vitorioso no ADCC e Jiu-Jitsu. "Todo mundo pode lutar em qualquer lugar, é MMA, as coisas mudaram. Tenho certeza que ele tem um chão muito bom e que consegue lutar no chão comigo", disse Ronaldo, garantindo uma boa trocação. "Ele é um bom pugilista? Vamos ver... Estou pronto para lutar em pé, disputar no Wrestling, lutar no chão", garante.
