Jhopp, Ichiro knows english, he speaks english to his team mates all the time, he just prefers using a translator when it comes to the media, think about it, the way our society is set up, people would make fun of him for his broken english.

there is just one little thing that bothers me about Ichiro. He has been in the United States for almost 10 years and he hasnt even bothered to learn english. The least you could do is speak some broken english, but he cant speak any. come on man, you live here, learn the language so you can communicate with people.
