I have been seeing everyone makes these handbag cakes so this weekend I wanted to give one a try. It took me about two days to make but was a lot of fun and really worth it in the end. What should I do next????

  • can you send them to me on basic construction before adding the fondant?

  • I used an oval shaped pan and then carved it to the desired shape but any pan really will work. You bake your cakes and then stack them as tall as you want the cake or handbag to be. You want to thinly fill the layers with a filling or buttercream icing is what I used. Then you want to insert two or three wooden dowels down through the cake to keep it steady. Cut them off at the top to conceal them. That is the basic construction of it. Let me know if you need the next steps....

  • are you willing to share the directions?

  • OMG!! So many steps...I can list them for you in a separate email if you really need them....
